ROOTGIS is incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, 2002 as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a registration number 00NGO/R/3662. An open centre dedicated to empowering youth, women, and communities through harnessing the power of geospatial data and technology revolution as well as advancing geospatial technology, innovation and entrepreneurship across Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar
To coordinate, educate, guide and assist the implementation, maintenance and development of geospatial technology in the country
To provide geospatial services and spatial information in the country to inform policy and enhace data based decision making .
Our entire team wants to see a world where every individual is digitally competent so that they compete in every aspect of lives either help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region of Tanzania so we’ll be reachable to all.
